Gothic church of st. Catherine was built in the 15th century, on the remains of the older Romanesque church. In this church, we can see several valuable art works, such as late baroque Madonna on the side altar and marble Renaissance baptistery. The first written mention of the church of st. Catherine was in 1526. In church there is precious altar whose sound you can hear every year in August at Festival of Altar of Kremnický Castle.
