After two years of reconstruction works is Small Carpathian Museum in Pezinok from 18th November 2008 reopen for public. With using funds from EU and from museum founder, Bratislava´s autonomous region, building of museum and cellars were under reconstruction. Our institution has shape of regional museum with strong accent on viniculture and mostly on wines from Small carpathian vineyard area. For interested parties museum offers a visit in cellar exposition with the biggest collection on vineyard squeezers in Central Europe, or occasional expositions on various themes, creative workshops for schools and degustation on smallcarpathians vine in this unique area. Museum is also an organizer of events such are: Sviatok sv. Urbana, an international chess tournament of Memoriál Richard Réti, Ceramic market and it is one of stops during the open doors on Small carpathian vine route. Museum organize occasionally expositions in foreign countries (for example: Exposition Vinohrady, wine, people was in September 2005 presented in European parliament in Strasbourg, later in Vienna and the in Milotice in Czech Republic. ) Apart from specialized employee and technical staff our museum has private somelier.
