On the street of Andrej Hlinka is the most important monument of Prievidza city - piaristic monastery. This Baroque monastery complex of Piaristic order belongs to unique baroque buildings in Central Europe. The component part of monastery is piaristic Roman Catholic Church of the Holy Trinity and the Blessed Virgin Mary, which was built in 18th century. Monastery complex was designed by Italian architect Biberlliho. In this monastery is also situated Upper - Nitra Museum of Prievidza, which enables us to know the history of the town of Prievidza.
