Žilina town
The biggest town, and the real metropolis of north-western Slovakia is Žilina. In 1990, after the reconstruction of its historical centre, it was integrated among the most beautifully renovated towns in Slovakia. Its eminent construction is a baroque church of St. Paul Apostle and Jesuit monastery from the half of the 18th century. The oldest preserved monument is the church of St. Stephen, situated in a town part Rudiny. Surroundings of Žilina is suitable for hiking and relax in not so distant bath town. more info...
