Kremnica is the ancient town with the council castle complex situated in the center with the charnel house and ossuary. Six expositions of the Kremnica Coin and Medal Museum are located there. In the middle of the square the Church of St. Catherine is situated. The glory of Kremnica is definitely its precious organ, of which beautiful sound can be enjoyed by visitors during the traditional summer event called Kremnický castle organ. Kremnica is the seat of National mint, which is the oldest in the world. The castle is protected by fortification to which city walls are attached, and those are considered and classified as the most preserved in Slovakia.
