Regional museum at the border line of the Zemplín and the Šariš regions, specializing in the history of emigration, offers expositions enhanced by splendid architecture of the manor house in Hanušovce – about the nature of the region, its history, folk culture and style of housing in the 19th – 20th century. The detached exposition in Vranov is focused on the Upper Zemplín and history of emigration. The museum promotes a system of “museum experience”. Within the interactive “Half-day at the museum”, the old crafts and activities are being revived. In addition to events as Day and Night of Museums, Children's Day, Easter and Christmas activities, also other cultural programs and lecture series are organized there. The Representative Hall (80 seats) is suitable for business and social meetings. The museum provides these services: archaeological research, publications production, lectures. It performs scientific research, conferences, and cross-border cooperation projects.
