The Bojnice castle represents one of the oldest and most remarkable Slovak castles. What strikes the visitors most are its exquisite expositions and numerous events held every year. One of them is a Ghost festival. Not only children, but adults as well may enjoy visit of the Bojnice ZOO situated in the vicinity. The park and forest – park, which are inseparable parts of the Bojnice castle area, create its magically beautiful scenery. There is a famous, six hundred years old unique Bojnice lime-tree of king Matej, with the perimeter of 12.5 metres, standing right in front of the castle's entrance. If you would like to walk through a fairy-tale, then Bojnice is the entry gate to one.
