The Sliač spa has been well-known for well over 750 years. Characteristic of the Sliač spa is calc tuff produced in the mineral water springs. The most important and the most abundant of these is the Spa spring (Kúpeľný prameň). The remaining four springs are used mostly for normal consumption. In the Sliač spa you can make use of both relaxation and wellness services.

There are only four spas in the world to have the mineral water springs with the natural isothermal temperature with high carbon dioxide rates. Only one of these springs is found in central Europe – particularly in the Sliač spa.

Patients are treated here with a disease of high blood pressure, arteriosclerosis, post rheumatic inflammation of the heart muscle and valves, the heart and vascular surgery.
