National Nature Reservation Badínsky Forest is one of the oldest protected area in Slovakia. Was launched in 1913 and is particularly valuable in area of 30.7 hectares, which is maintaining the original beechwood mixture with other deciduous trees. In year 2000 British Prince Charles visited the Badínsky Forest, because of the rare elm that grow here. Who wants to follow his footsteps, he may go after the educational path, which offers a remarkable transition in the rainforest and creep under and skip the fallen tree trunks.
