The APLEND Mountain Resort is situated in the pleasant mountain environment of Horny Smokovec, one of the Tatra settlements that is an important starting point for the central part of the High Tatras. The APLEND Mountain Resort consists of 2 adjacent buildings separated by about 30 m. In the major building there is reception, common room where breakfast is served, kids' corner and hotel-type rooms; in the other building (depandance) there are apartments and studios with kitchenette. The APLEND Mountain Resort is 100 m distant from a train stop of the Tatra Electric Railways connecting all tourist and ski centers of the High Tatras – Strbske pleso, Stary Smokovec, Tatranska Lomnica. In summer season, it is a good starting point for mountain hikes to the Sliezsky House, the Slavkovsky Peak, the Zbojnicka chalet, the Skalnate pleso mountain lake, as well as for trips to Poprad, Kezmarok the Belianska cave, or to Vrbov thermal spa. There is a path near the hotel that connects towns Stary Smokovec, Dolny Smokovec and Tatranska Lomnica, and is suitable for walks and cyclo-turism.
